On Monday Capt. Love day with his Co. arrived in Doullens and spent the night under canvas. I did not hear of their arrival until Tuesday when I went up to their camp. In the evening Loveday, with his officers Court and Clark, had tea with us and immediately after tea set off in lorries – with their men for Ivergny and Lucheau where they go into billets. During the week we have had very rough wet weather with several heavy snow storms. Work on the road goes forward slowly.
