The East camp is a very good place = bell tents on the slpe of a hill, behind the town and fronting the sea- a fresh clear day and he men soon recovered from their tiring day travelling. There are about 1200 men in the camp – details from all units – mostly much ni need of a rest after heavy fighting . Parade at 10 a.m. for ten inspection and afterwards no further duty – all men to be in camp by 9 p.m. Ault Onvial is quite a small place – about 1400 inhabitants and is quite empty of visitors – A number of Belgian tropps here.
