Beautiful weather again – we are having a very good time in very nice quiet country district. Today the Corps General presented the D.C.M.  to several men who gained the honour on the Peninsular. The parade took place at the intersection of two main roads – our C.S.Major was one of the men honoured. After the parade we rode forward to see a demonstration of flamenwater.

In the evening the Colonel and the Adjutant and the Surgeon came to dinner – we had very merry and noisy night. Taylor was especially funny.
