During this week have been carrying on with work in the Bully Grenay sector – dugouts, brigade headquarters, underground position for T.M. etc. etc., being attached to the 4th Lo R.E. and having two working parties each 1 officer and 80 strong. The work has gone forward smoothly and well. The O.C. of the 4th Londons, Lieut. Moreland is a Military Cross man whIch won for hauling out a lot of Bosch from a dugout – he is a very fine chap – a Cambridge man and full of energy. Their billet is a very pleasant one and the mess very quiet. During the week the R.N.D. infantry battalions have been moving up and it is obvious that the Division will take over this sector. On Thursday I went to Aix Noulette to draw money for a pay. Stayed dinner and played bridge afterwards.
