The Franconian came into harbour and we received orders to embark tomorrow. The West Lancs.    Royal Engs. came into into the horse lines and the day was spent in handing over plant, stock etc. to them. The 2nd Field left camp at 1. and embarked on the Minniwuska [Minnewaska]. Gould with 12 men arrived from Stavros – in the evening orders. Beloe was posted to command No. 1. vice me – This is done to enable him to get home some time before his own Co. and so give him a chance of getting a few days home leave before the arrival of his own Co. He has had no leave since coming out in June of last year.
