Capt. Revell posted to No. 1. Co.
Col. Harrison arrived from England. Received mail from England.
Gould arrived from Abbeville with full equipment of wagons, pontoons horses etc. for No. 1. Co.
Day spent in settling down in billets – arranging latrines etc. This is a quiet rural district and very English in appearance and climate. H.Q. are at Hallancourt – about 1 mile from here. The 3rd Field Co. arrived here, very tired, at 10.30pm in heavy rain – allotting billets at that time was a very hard business – better arrangements should have been made for their reception.
