Stubbings came over in time for breakfast having been warned for duty with the party to proceed to Cassandra.

Mail bags which should have come in last Saturday arrived today. Had a very good mail  letters from Father, M.B., H.B., and L.L. punch and Sheff. (Sheffield) papers.

In afternoon Company was inspected by Gen. Paris who before leaving the island. he spoke of decision to reduce the strength of the unit to 1 1/2 companies, told us he had asked for this to be delayed for 6 months – but was not very hopeful of this being granted.
