Field Co. draft paraded at 7 – 4 officers, 8 N.C.O.’s and 164 Sappers. Signal Co’s draft paraded at an earlier hour and marched away before us.  Took train at Blandford with drafts from medical and transport units for Southampton arriving there about 12, and after short time marched on board the Olympic.  A splendid boat fitted out in the most luxurious way – shared a state room on B deck with Lieut. Aylott of the Signals.

The part of the ship used by the officers and the food are splendid. Below where the men are the arrangements are not so comfortable nor is the food quite so satisfactory.
